In this church part of the movie ‘Tarzan and the Green Godness’ was filmed in the year 1936 and is visited by faithful Catholics because in its interiorthe mortal remains of the Holy Brother Pedro de San José de Betancourt, are burned. He is the first Guatemalan Saint, canonized by his Saint John Paul II during his third visit to Guatemala in the year 2,002.
